1. Will this system damage the hair?
No. The ingredient formulation of Straight to the Maxx is safe on hair and skin.

2. Can you use it on color treated, highlighted or bleached hair?
Straight to the Maxx can be used on color or chemically treated hair, including bleached or highlighted hair. We recommend waiting 1 week after you have used any bleach or color in your hair before using Straight to the Maxx. If you are unsure, test the solution on a small part of your hair.

3. Can I use Straight to the Maxx on double processed hair?
We do not recommend the use of Straight to the Maxx on double processed hair or hair that is breaking or otherwise damaged due to previous treatments. If you are unsure, test the solution on a small part of your hair.

4. What is double processed hair?
Double processed hair is when you have a dark shade of hair that is totally bleached and new color is then deposited into the hair. This is applied on the entire head of hair, not small sections.

5. Can it be used on previously relaxed hair?
Yes. We recommend waiting at least 8 weeks after you have used any chemical relaxing treatment in your hair before using Straight to the Maxx.

6. Can you highlight or color-treat your hair after using Straight to the Maxx?
Yes. You should wait at least one week after using Straight to the Maxx to treat your hair with color or highlights.

7. Is this an ammonium thioglycolate (thio) or sodium hydroxide base hair straightener?
No.

8. What type of hair can you use it on?
It is recommended for all types of hair. Individual results vary based on the condition and type of hair Straight to the Maxx is being applied to.

9. Will Straight to the Maxx dry out my hair?
No. The formulation includes silk protein that provides exceptional conditioning to the driest hair.

10. Will it curl up if I start sweating?
No. Your hair will maintain its straightness. Within the first 72 hours of treating your hair, try to refrain from activities that will cause you to sweat. It’s best to let your hair get accustomed to its new straight state.

11. Will it curl up if it’s humid outside?
No. That’s something great about Straight to the Maxx. Your hair will remain straight even when it’s humid out.

12. How straight does the system leave the hair?
Straight to the Maxx takes out 70-85% of the curl. This reduces drying and styling time dramatically without compromising the integrity of the hair. You can use the Ceramic Flat Iron to take you the rest of the way there if you wish.

13. If I come out of the shower, will my hair be straight without drying or styling it?
No. Because Straight to the Maxx does not break the protein bond of your hair, you will not have limp lifeless straight hair out of the shower. Your curl or wave will be substantially reduced, your styling time will be drastically cut down and if you use a flat iron to finish it off it will help your hair keep that stick straight style. Your results will be silkier and smoother than before using Straight to the Maxx.

14. Do I apply the treatment once?
Or How many times do I have to apply the treatment? One active treatment will last from 6-8 weeks. All you do is comb the solution into your hair, rinse, dry and style and you are ready to go. Your daily routine will be cut down to a fraction of the time. You will notice the more you use Straight to the Maxx every 6-8 weeks, the straighter your results will be.

15. How long does the hair stay straight?
Hair typically remains straight for 6-8 weeks. The curls gradually reform throughout the hair and you reapply the next treatment when needed.

16. How often do I reapply the product?
After applying Straight to the Maxx one time only it locks in the straightness for 6-8 weeks. 17. How will I know when to reapply the product?
After 6-8 weeks the hair gradually reforms the curl throughout the entire head. At this point you can reapply the product

18. How will I know when my hair will go back to curly?
Will it be from one day to the next, or just the roots? Your hair will gradually begin to form its original wave or curl between the 6th and 8th week. As your hair grows in you do not have to worry about having curly roots and straight ends. The curl will reform throughout the entire hair follicle so you look great no matter what style you choose.

19. Is it ok to use my own shampoo and conditioner?
The Straight to the Maxx shampoo and conditioner are specially formulated for this product. The shampoo is PH balanced and has clarifying agents to keep it clean and smooth. The conditioner is protein enriched to keep your hair healthy and moisturized. Regular shampoos may dry your hair. We cannot guarantee the results of the product if you do not use all the Straight to the Maxx components.

20. Can I use a flat iron that I already own with the product?
The Straight to the Maxx flat iron is equipped with professional ceramic coated plates. These plates evenly distribute the heat to your hair, unlike regular flat irons that may burn and damage the hair. We cannot guarantee the results of the product if you do not use all of the Straight to the Maxx components.

21. Can I use a curling iron or rollers on my hair after I use Straight to the Maxx?
Yes. Your hair will hold a heated curl so you have the flexibility of having different styles any time you choose.

22. How is Straight to the Maxx different from other hair straightening systems?

25. How many applications come with the product?
One active treatment is included with each product. Once Straight to the Maxx is mixed the solution is active for 1 hour. You cannot save unused portions of the treatment.

26. Can I save unused portions of the solution?
No. Once the product is mixed it becomes inactive in 1 hour. You can use the shampoo and conditioner until they run out.

27. What is the shelf life of Straight to the Maxx?
Unmixed Straight to the Maxx treatments can be stored for up to 2 years.

28. What is included in the main Kit?

35. Can African-Americans use it?

You begin timing after all the hair has been saturated and you are ready to begin combing.

39. Do I have to continually comb through the hair?
Yes. You must comb the hair for the entire 10 minutes. This process locks the hair into the straight position.

40. How long after using the product can I wash my hair?
We recommend waiting 72 hours.

41. Can I go swimming after using Straight to the Maxx?
Yes. We recommend waiting 72 hours before swimming.

42. I used Straight to the Maxx and my hair is still curly?
Straight to the Maxx is designed to take out 70-85% of the curl. It drastically cuts down your drying and styling time by sealing your hair follicle. It should at least cut that time in half. If it took you an hour to straighten your hair before, it should now only take 10-30 minutes. If Straight to the Maxx has achieved this then it has done exactly what it was designed to do. We advise timing how long it now takes you to straighten your hair. It should take you less time than it did before using Straight to the Maxx.

43. Can I get just the free flat iron advertised on the show?
I’m sorry but the free flat iron is included only with the purchase of Straight to the Maxx. The cost of Straight to the Maxx is less than the flat iron alone.

44. I received my package and the mirror (or other part) was broken?
Has it been less than 30 days since you received the product? If yes, please return the broken part and we will replace it. Send it to the address on the box.

45. The commercial said that the iron is free; can I keep the iron if I return the product?
Unfortunately not. To receive a full refund you must return the flat iron. Once the complete kit is returned you will be issued a full refund minus shipping and handling.

46. Can you use the flat iron or blow drier in other countries?
We recommend checking with the specific country to see if you will need an adapter. Most countries will require an adapter.
